About Us

To strengthen the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families.

As much as the USO would like to open its doors to retirees, disabled veterans and all those who have honorably served, as a nonprofit organization, the USO must focus its efforts on serving the needs of those who need us most: U.S. Armed Forces active duty, Reserve and Guard service members, as well as their families.

USO DFW officially opened its doors on June 14, 2004 to serve the active duty military community. Since our opening, we have welcomed more than 2.5 million service members and their families as they wait to travel all over the world. All services provided at USO DFW are complimentary to our guests and are made possible by the generosity of our donors, support from companies and organizations, and the North Texas Community.

USO Centers support military members at DFW Airport, Dallas Love Field, and Dallas MEPS as well as through morale-boosting and family-strengthening programs targeting the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen and their families stationed in DFW and surrounding areas.

More than 250 USO DFW volunteers support our mission.

AMENITIES & SUPPORT

Our Center amenities at DFW Airport B47 include a café, TV lounge area, work room, charging stations, books to read, and much more.

Our Center at Dallas Military Entrance Processing Station (Dallas MEPS) opened in 2013 and we offer snacks and gaming at this location.

USO Love Field opened in February 2021 and offers a comfortable area for guests to enjoy snacks and drinks.

Our Families of the Fallen and Family Support teams help families who come through our airport with whatever their need may be. If there is a dignified transfer through DFW Airport, volunteers will meet the families and help escort them around DFW.
